these aren't pictures that i've taken. i'll post my own pictures when i have more time. this is just to give you an idea of what i'm experiencing.




say hello to the asahi dry beer company. or as we fondly refer to it, the great golden poo. it's a famous asakusa landmark and helps us know what side of the river we're on.





this is the beautiful sensoji temple. this is a little what it looked like when we went on new year's eve, except there was way more people.






this long line of people led to an altar in the temple where people would pray for a prosperous new year. we didn't participate...we didn't know how. hahaha!




this is what it looked like when we went to the festival during the day. like i said, i'll post my own pictures when i have more time, but here's an idea. except the banners didn't have cows on them, they had tigers on them. year of the tiger, i say! wooo! the hotel staff gave us these sweet golden tiger cell phone charms in honor of the new year. they're awesome.
